The Eton Sound 100 is a tabletop AM/FM radio featuring a digital Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) tuner, 10 station presets, an alarm with sleep timer, and a 3-inch full-range speaker. It includes an infrared remote control and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input for connecting external audio devices.
2. Configuración
2.1 Desembalaje
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Eton Sound 100 radio, the AC power adapter, and the remote control.
2.2 Conexión de alimentación

The radio is designed for corded electric operation. For backup power during short outages, the unit may retain settings for approximately 30 minutes or more due to a built-in capacitor. For extended power loss, two AA batteries can be inserted into the battery compartment on the back of the unit to maintain time and preset settings.

Extend the telescopic antenna located on the back of the radio for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, the radio uses a built-in ferrite bar antenna; repositioning the radio may improve AM signal quality.

3. Instrucciones de funcionamiento
3.1 Controles básicos

- Botón de encendido: Presione para encender o apagar la radio.
- Perilla de VOLUMEN: Gire en el sentido de las agujas del reloj para aumentar el volumen y en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para disminuirlo.
- Botón MODE: Press to switch between AM, FM, and AUX input modes.
- TUNING/SET Knob: Rotate to manually tune radio frequencies. Press to confirm settings in menu modes.

3.2 Configuración de la hora
- With the radio on or off, press the TIEMPO ESTABLECIDO botón.
- Utilice el TUNING/SET knob to adjust the hour. Press TUNING/SET Para confirmar.

3.3 Sintonización de emisoras de radio

3.5 Alarma y temporizador de apagado
The radio features an alarm function to wake you to your preferred radio station and volume. A sleep timer allows the radio to turn off automatically after a set period.

3.6 Uso de la entrada auxiliar
Connect an external audio device, such as an MP3 player or iPod, to the AUX IN jack on the back of the radio using a 3.5mm audio cable. Press the MODO button until "AUX" is displayed to play audio from the connected device.
4. Mantenimiento
4.1 Limpieza
To clean the radio, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. Ensure the radio is unplugged before cleaning.

If using AA batteries for backup, replace them annually or when the radio fails to retain time and preset settings after a power interruption. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
5. Solución de problemas
- Sin energía: Ensure the AC adapter is securely plugged into both the radio and a working wall outlet.
- Mala recepción de radio: Extend the FM telescopic antenna fully. For AM, try repositioning the radio. Avoid placing the radio near other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Problemas de visualización: The LCD display is designed for optimal viewing from a direct angle. Viewing from extreme angles or in very bright conditions may affect readability. The display brightness is fixed.
- Radio Does Not Turn On Automatically After Power Outage: If the radio loses power and then power is restored, you may need to press the FUERZA button to turn the unit back on, even if backup batteries are installed.
- Volume Control Irregularity: If the volume knob exhibits inconsistent response, try using the volume controls on the remote control.
- No hay sonido desde la entrada auxiliar: Ensure the audio cable is fully inserted into both the radio's AUX IN jack and the external device. Verify the radio is in AUX mode and the external device's volume is turned up.
