  • Botón de encendido (): Enciende o apaga el instrumento.
  • Botón de flecha hacia arriba (): Se utiliza para navegar por los menús o aumentarasing values (e.g., emissivity).
  • Botón de modo: Cycles through display modes (e.g., Hold, Min/Max, ∆T).

4.2. Elementos de visualización

  • IR Temperature: Main large digits, showing non-contact surface temperature.
  • Temperatura del aire: Smaller digits, showing ambient air temperature.
  • ∆T (Delta T): Displays the difference between IR and air temperature.
  • Indicador de espera: Appears when the Hold function is active.
  • Min/Max Indicator: Appears when displaying minimum or maximum values.
  • Emissivity Setting (ε): Indicates the current emissivity value.
  • Indicador de batería: Muestra la vida útil restante de la batería.

5. Configuración

5.1. Instalación de la batería

The Testo 810 requires 2 AAA batteries (included).

6. Operación

6.1. Encendido y apagado

  • Para encender: Presione el button. The display will illuminate and show current readings.
  • Para apagar: Mantenga presionado el button until the display turns off. The instrument also features an auto-off function to conserve battery life.

6.2. Taking Measurements (IR and Ambient)

The Testo 810 simultaneously measures both surface and air temperatures.

  1. Asegúrese de que el instrumento esté encendido.
  2. Point the infrared sensor (at the top of the device) towards the surface you wish to measure. The 1-point laser will indicate the center of the measurement spot.
  3. The IR temperature will be displayed in the larger digits, while the ambient air temperature will be shown in smaller digits.
  4. For accurate IR readings, ensure the distance to the object is appropriate for the 6:1 optics ratio (e.g., at 6 inches distance, the measurement spot is 1 inch in diameter).

6.3. Adjusting Emissivity (ε)

Emissivity is crucial for accurate infrared temperature measurement. Different materials have different emissivity values. The Testo 810 allows adjustment from 0.10 to 1.00.

  1. With the instrument on, press the Modo button repeatedly until the emissivity symbol (ε) appears on the display.
  2. Utilice el button to adjust the emissivity value. Refer to standard emissivity tables for common materials.
  3. Presione el Modo button again to confirm the setting and return to measurement mode.

6.4. Hold and Min/Max Functions

  • Función de retención: During measurement, briefly press the Modo button. The current readings will be frozen on the display, indicated by a 'Hold' symbol. Press Modo again to resume live measurement.
  • Valores mínimos y máximos: Mientras esté en el modo de medición, presione el botón Modo button repeatedly to cycle through the minimum (Min) and maximum (Max) recorded temperatures for both IR and air. The display will show 'Min' or 'Max' accordingly.
  • Delta T (∆T): Continúe presionando el Modo botón para view the temperature difference between the IR surface and ambient air.

7. Mantenimiento

7.1. Limpieza

To ensure accurate readings and prolong the life of your instrument:

  • Limpie el instrumento casing con anuncioamp Paño. No utilice limpiadores abrasivos ni disolventes.
  • Carefully clean the infrared lens with a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens cleaning wipe. Avoid touching the lens directly with fingers.

7.2. Reemplazo de la batería

When the battery indicator shows low power, replace the batteries as described in Section 5.1. Always use fresh AAA alkaline batteries.

7.3. Almacenamiento

When not in use, store the Testo 810 in its protective cap in a dry, dust-free environment within the specified operating temperature range.
