5. Configuración

5.1 Conexión a un televisor

To connect your DVD recorder to a television, choose one of the following connection methods:

1. Conexión de video por componentes (recomendada para obtener la mejor calidad):

   Connect the Component Video Output (Y, Pb, Pr) jacks on the DVD recorder to the corresponding Component Video Input jacks on your TV using component video cables. Connect the Audio L/R Output jacks on the DVD recorder to the Audio L/R Input jacks on your TV using audio cables.
2. A/V (Composite Video) Connection:

   Connect the Video Output jack on the DVD recorder to the Video Input jack on your TV using a composite video cable (yellow). Connect the Audio L/R Output jacks on the DVD recorder to the Audio L/R Input jacks on your TV using audio cables (red and white).

5.2 Conexión de alimentación

Plug the supplied power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear of the DVD recorder, then plug the other end into a standard AC wall outlet.

6. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

6.1 Reproducción básica

1. Turn on your TV and select the correct input source for the DVD recorder.
2. Presione el FUERZA button on the unit or remote control to turn on the DVD recorder.
3. Presione el ABRIR/CERRAR para abrir la bandeja del disco.
4. Coloque un disco DVD o CD en la bandeja con la etiqueta hacia arriba.

6.2 Recording to DVD-R/RW

1. Insert a blank DVD-R or DVD-RW disc into the disc tray.
2. Select the input source you wish to record from (e.g., TV tuner, Front A/V input). Use the SELECCIONAR ENTRADA Botón en el control remoto o en el panel frontal.

6.3 Finalizing Discs

For recorded DVD-R/RW discs to be playable on other DVD players, they must be finalized. The Emerson EWR10D5 features auto finalizing. Refer to the on-screen menu for manual finalizing options if needed.

6.4 Bloqueo paterno

The parental lock feature allows you to restrict playback of certain content based on rating levels. Access this feature through the system settings menu and follow the on-screen prompts to set a password and desired restriction level.
