This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Hüppe Universal Drain Seal Strip. This seal strip is designed to ensure water tightness for specific shower enclosures, preventing water leakage.

It is compatible with 4-corner shower enclosures featuring 8mm glass thickness. Please note, this seal strip is no suitable for 1/4 circle shower enclosures.

3.1 Herramientas necesarias

• Fine-tooth saw or sharp utility knife (for cutting plastic/rubber)

3.2 pasos de instalación

1. Medida: Carefully measure the length of the bottom edge of your shower enclosure door where the seal strip will be installed.
2. Cortar a medida: Using the measured length, mark the Hüppe seal strip. Cut the strip precisely to the required length using a fine-tooth saw or a sharp utility knife. Ensure a clean, straight cut for optimal fit.
3. Ajustar la altura (si es necesario): The seal strip has a total height of 20mm and can be shortened to 13mm if required for your specific shower enclosure setup. Refer to Figure 1 for visual guidance. If shortening is needed, carefully trim the lower part of the strip.
4. Adjuntar: Slide the U-shaped channel of the seal strip onto the bottom edge of the 8mm thick glass shower door. Ensure it is firmly seated and extends evenly across the entire width of the door. The flexible lip should face inwards towards the shower tray to direct water back into the shower.
5. Prueba: Close the shower door and check for proper fit and seal. Run water along the bottom edge of the door to verify that no water leaks out.

• Reemplazo: If the seal strip shows significant signs of wear or no longer provides an effective seal, it should be replaced to maintain the functionality of your shower enclosure.

  Instalación incorrecta: Ensure the seal strip is fully seated on the glass and the flexible lip is facing inwards towards the shower tray. Re-adjust if necessary.

  Improper Length: The strip might be too short, leaving gaps. Measure and cut a new strip if needed.

  Worn or Damaged Seal: The seal strip may be old or damaged. Inspect for cracks or hardening. Replace the seal strip if it is compromised.

  Incorrect Height: If the strip was shortened, ensure it still makes proper contact with the shower tray. The height might be too low. Consider a new strip with appropriate height.

6.2 Difficulty Closing Door

  Incorrect Height: If the strip is too tall, it might create excessive friction. Consider trimming the height to 13mm if applicable and if it still provides a sufficient seal.
