4. Configuración

4.1 Carga de la batería

The Ryobi HP108L features an internal 8 Volt Lithium Ion battery. To charge the drill:

  2. Plug the charger into the charging port on the drill.
  3. Allow the drill to charge until the charging indicator light on the charger or drill indicates a full charge. Charging time may vary, typically taking several hours.

Nota: The drill cannot be operated while charging. Refer to the charger's specific instructions for detailed charging procedures and indicator meanings.

4.2 Instalación y extracción de brocas

The drill is equipped with a keyless chuck for quick bit changes.

  2. Insert the desired drill bit or driving bit into the chuck. Ensure the bit is inserted as far as possible and centered.
  4. To remove a bit, rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws release the bit.

The kit includes a double-sided hex bit (Phillips/slot head) for immediate use.

5. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

5.1 Encendido/apagado y control de velocidad

The drill is activated by the variable speed trigger. The speed of the drill is directly proportional to the amount of pressure applied to the trigger.

  • To start the drill, pull the trigger.

  • Push the selector to the left for forward rotation (for drilling and driving screws).
  • Push the selector to the right for reverse rotation (for removing screws or backing out drill bits).

The LED work light, located below the chuck, activates automatically when the trigger is pulled, illuminating the immediate work area. This feature is particularly useful in low-light conditions.

5.4 Monitoring Battery Charge (Fuel Gauge)

The LED fuel gauge on the side of the unit provides an approximate indication of the remaining battery charge. Refer to the indicator lights to determine when recharging is necessary.

5.5 Técnicas de perforación y atornillado

When drilling or driving, apply steady, even pressure. For driving screws, start at a lower speed to prevent stripping the screw head or damaging the workpiece. Increase speed as needed. For drilling, ensure the drill bit is appropriate for the material and apply consistent pressure.
