1. Introducción

2. Información importante de seguridad

4. Configuración

4.1. Unpacking and Battery Connection

  2. Locate the yellow battery connector on the rear panel of the UPS. This connector is typically disconnected for safe transport.
  3. Push the yellow battery connector firmly into its socket until it clicks into place. This activates the UPS battery circuits.

  2. Ensure the connection is direct to the wall outlet. Do not use surge protectors or extension cords.

4.3. Conexión de equipos

The BX1400UI features six IEC 320 C13 outlets for connecting your devices.

5. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

5.1. Encendido / apagado

  • Para encender: Press and hold the power button on the front panel until you hear a short beep. The UPS will perform a self-test, and the 'On Line' LED will illuminate green.
  • Para apagar: Press and hold the power button until the UPS powers down.

5.2. Indicadores LED

The front panel features LED indicators to show the UPS status:

8. Mantenimiento

8.1. Reemplazo de la batería

The APC Back-UPS BX1400UI uses two 12V 7.2Ah sealed lead-acid batteries. The recommended replacement battery pack is APC RBC113.

  • During Warranty: If the unit is still under its 2-year warranty, battery replacement must be performed by Schneider Electric IT (SEIT) customer service. User-performed battery replacement during the warranty period will automatically void the warranty.
  • After Warranty: After the warranty period, batteries can be replaced by the user. However, due to the presence of high voltage components even when disconnected, it is highly recommended that this operation be performed by specialized personnel. If you choose to replace the batteries yourself, exercise extreme caution.
  • Procedimiento Terminadoview (for experienced users only): Disconnect the UPS from all power sources and connected equipment. Disconnect the yellow battery connector. Remove the rear panel screws, then the front panel (which is snap-fitted), and additional screws. Carefully access the battery compartment. Note the orientation and wiring of the existing batteries (taking photos is recommended) to ensure correct installation of the new batteries.
