4. Configuración

  2. Colocación: Place the machine on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine. Do not place it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  3. Llenado del tanque de agua: Open the lid to access the internal water tank. Fill the tank with fresh, cold water. The machine has an integrated water softener, but using filtered water is recommended for optimal taste and machine longevity. Do not overfill.
  4. Conexión de energía: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the machine's power requirements (230 V, 50 Hz, 1700 W).
  5. Initial Prime/Flush: Before first use, or after the machine has been drained, prime the pump by running hot water through the brew group and steam wand until water flows consistently. This removes air from the system.

5. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

5.1. Turning On and Heating Up

  2. Encienda el interruptor principal. La máquina comenzará a calentarse.
  3. Wait until the pressure gauge indicates the optimal operating pressure (typically around 1.0-1.2 bar) and the ready indicator light illuminates. This usually takes 15-20 minutes.

5.2. Preparar café expreso

  1. Preparar el portafiltro: Grind fresh coffee beans to an espresso fineness. Dose the appropriate amount into the portafilter basket (e.g., 7-8g for a single shot, 14-16g for a double). Tamp el café uniformemente con presión firme.
  2. Insertar portafiltro: Purge the brew group briefly by running a small amount of water. Insert the portafilter into the brew group and lock it firmly into place.
  4. Comience a preparar: Press the brew button. The machine will begin extracting espresso.
  5. Detener la elaboración de cerveza: Monitor the extraction. Press the brew button again to stop the flow when the desired volume is reached (typically 25-30ml per shot in 25-30 seconds).
  6. Quitar el portafiltro: Carefully remove the portafilter, empty the spent coffee grounds ("puck"), and rinse the portafilter.

5.3. Leche al vapor

  3. Leche al vapor: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve fully. Angle the pitcher to create a vortex. As the milk heats and expands, lower the pitcher slightly to keep the tip just below the surface for aeration.
  4. Calentar la leche: Once the desired foam is achieved, immerse the wand deeper to heat the milk to temperature (around 60-65°C / 140-150°F).
  5. Varita limpia: Close the steam valve. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp Paño para eliminar cualquier residuo de leche.

  • Portafiltros y cestas: After each use, remove the coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter basket thoroughly.
  • Grupo de elaboración de cerveza: Use a brew group brush to clean any coffee grounds from the shower screen and gasket.

6.2. Backflushing (Weekly/Bi-Weekly)

Backflushing cleans the brew group and internal valves.

  1. Insert a blind filter basket into the portafilter.
  4. Activate the brew cycle for 10 seconds, then stop for 5 seconds. Repeat 5-10 times.
  5. Remove the portafilter, rinse it, and repeat the backflushing process with plain water to rinse away detergent.

6.3. Descaling (Every 2-3 Months, or as needed)

Although your machine has an integrated water softener, periodic descaling is recommended, especially in areas with hard water. Use a commercial descaling solution designed for espresso machines. Follow the descaler manufacturer's instructions carefully.

  • Run the solution through the brew group, steam wand, and hot water dispenser until the tank is empty.
  • Run several tanks of fresh water through all outlets to ensure all descaling solution is removed.
