2. Información de seguridad
Always prioritize safety when operating electric tools, especially around animals. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or damage to the product.
2.1 Advertencias generales de seguridad
- Lee todas las instrucciones: Familiarícese con los controles y el uso adecuado.
- Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien iluminada: Las áreas desordenadas u oscuras invitan a los accidentes.
- No operar en atmósferas explosivas: Do not use where flammable liquids, gases, or dust are present.
- Mantenga a los niños y a los transeúntes alejados: Las distracciones pueden hacer que pierdas el control.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces: Such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions: La entrada de agua en una herramienta eléctrica aumentará el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
- No maltrate el cable: Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
- Utilice el equipo de protección personal adecuado: Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves.
- Mantente alerta: Watch what you are doing and use common sense. Do not use the tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
2.2 Animal Handling and Blade Safety
- Secure the animal: Ensure the animal is calm and properly restrained before shearing to prevent sudden movements that could cause injury to the animal or operator.
- Inspect the animal: Check for any wounds, skin conditions, or foreign objects in the wool before shearing.
- Las cuchillas están afiladas: Handle blades with extreme care. Always ensure the clippers are switched off and unplugged before handling blades or performing maintenance.
- Not for all animals: These shears are designed for livestock with woolly coats such as sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas. They are not recommended for animals with different coat types, such as dogs, as this may cause injury to the animal.
3. Configuración
3.1 Instalación de la cuchilla y ajuste de la tensión
The shears come with blades pre-installed. If you need to change or adjust them:
- Asegúrese de que la cortadora esté desconectada de la fuente de alimentación.
- Use the provided screwdriver to loosen the blade tension knob and remove the existing blades.
- Carefully align the new cutter blade over the comb blade, ensuring the holes match the pins on the clipper head.
- Re-attach the blade tension knob and tighten it until there is slight resistance. The tension should be firm enough to cut effectively but not so tight that it causes excessive heat or strain on the motor. Refer to the diagram below for blade components.

3.2 Engrase de las cuchillas
Before each use, and periodically during extended shearing sessions (every 5-10 minutes), apply a few drops of the provided lubricating oil to the blades. This reduces friction, prevents overheating, and ensures smooth operation. Run the clippers for a few seconds after oiling to distribute the oil evenly.
4. Instrucciones de funcionamiento
4.1 Encendido y apagado
Plug the clipper into a suitable power outlet (110V). Use the power switch located on the unit to turn the clippers on or off.
4.2 Control de 6 velocidades
The shears feature a 6-speed control dial, allowing you to adjust the cutting speed based on the animal's coat type and sensitivity. This provides optimal control and reduces the risk of injury.
- Velocidades 1-3: Ideal for sensitive areas, legs, neck, and delicate spots, or for animals with finer wool.
- Velocidades 4-6: Suitable for cutting through dense belly and back wool quickly and efficiently.
Start with a lower speed and gradually increase as needed. The maximum speed is 2500 RPM.

4.3 Shearing Technique
Hold the clippers firmly with a comfortable grip. The ergonomic design and low vibration help minimize fatigue during long sessions. Use long, even strokes, moving against the direction of wool growth. Keep the blades flat against the animal's skin to avoid cutting too deep or unevenly.

4.4 Extended Cord for Mobility
The 18.3-foot power cord provides ample reach, allowing for greater mobility around the pen or barn without needing frequent repositioning of power sources.

5. Mantenimiento
5.1 Limpieza
After each use, unplug the clippers and use the provided cleaning brush to remove all wool and debris from the blades and clipper head. Accumulated wool can hinder performance and cause overheating.
5.2 Lubricación
Regular oiling is crucial for the longevity and performance of your shears. Apply oil to the blades before, during, and after each shearing session. This keeps the blades sharp and reduces wear.
5.3 Enfriamiento
The shears feature a built-in ventilation system to prevent overheating. During prolonged use, it is advisable to take short breaks to allow the motor and blades to cool down. Applying cooling spray to the blades can also help maintain optimal operating temperature.
6. Solución de problemas
| Problema | Posible causa | Solución |
|---|---|---|
| Clippers not cutting effectively or snagging wool | Dull blades, incorrect blade tension, insufficient oil, wool buildup | Check blade sharpness and replace if dull. Adjust blade tension. Apply lubricating oil. Clean wool from blades and clipper head. |
| Cortapelos sobrecalentándose | Lack of lubrication, prolonged continuous use, wool buildup, incorrect blade tension | Apply more lubricating oil. Take breaks during long sessions. Clean wool from blades. Adjust blade tension to be less tight. |
| Ruido o vibración excesivos | Loose blades, worn parts, lack of lubrication | Ensure blades are securely fastened and tensioned correctly. Apply oil. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Cortapelos no encienden | No power, faulty switch, internal issue | Check power outlet and cord connection. Ensure switch is in the 'on' position. If still not working, contact support. |
