5. Configuración

5.1 Montaje del punto de acceso

The Aruba IAP-335-US can be mounted on a ceiling tile rail or a wall using the appropriate mounting bracket (sold separately or included in specific kits). Ensure the mounting location provides optimal wireless coverage and allows for proper cable routing.

  • Montaje en el techo: Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling tile rail. Secure the access point to the bracket by aligning the tabs and twisting until it locks into place.
  • Montaje en pared: Use appropriate screws and anchors to secure the mounting bracket to the wall. Then, attach the access point to the bracket.

5.2 Encendido del dispositivo

The IAP-335-US can be powered using one of two methods:

  • Alimentación a través de Ethernet (PoE): Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE-enabled switch or a PoE injector (sold separately) to the ENET 1 port on the access point. This method provides both power and data connectivity.
  • External DC Power Adapter: Connect a compatible 48V DC power adapter (sold separately) to the DC power input port. Then, connect an Ethernet cable from your network to either the ENET 0 or ENET 1 port for data connectivity.

Once powered, the LED indicators on the front panel will illuminate, indicating the device is booting up.

5.3 Configuración inicial

As an Instant Access Point, the IAP-335-US is designed for simplified setup. Upon initial power-up, the device will attempt to obtain an IP address via DHCP. You can then access the web-interfaz de usuario basada en (WebUI) for configuration. Refer to the Aruba Instant User Guide for detailed configuration steps, including setting up SSIDs, security, and network parameters.

6. Operando

The Aruba IAP-335-US provides robust wireless connectivity with several key operational features:

  • Wi-Fi de doble banda: Operates simultaneously on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, supporting 802.11ac Wave 2 standards for high-speed data rates (up to 1,733 Mbps in 5 GHz and 800 Mbps in 2.4 GHz).
