Configuración

Installation of the August Smart Lock Pro is designed to be straightforward, typically taking minutes. The August app provides step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process.

1. Ensure your existing deadbolt is compatible. The August Smart Lock Pro installs on the inside of your door, retaining your existing exterior lock and keys.
2. Download the August app from your device's app store.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to remove the interior portion of your existing deadbolt.
4. Attach the August Smart Lock Pro using the provided mounting hardware and lock adapter.
5. Install the DoorSense sensor to detect if your door is open or closed.
6. Insert the 4 AA Batteries into the Smart Lock Pro.
7. Plug in the August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge into a power outlet within 10-15 feet of your Smart Lock Pro for optimal connectivity.
8. Complete the setup and calibration within the August app.

Compatibilidad

The August Smart Lock Pro is compatible with most standard single-cylinder deadbolts. It comes with various adapters to ensure a proper fit with different lock brands. Refer to the compatibility chart below to identify the correct adapter for your deadbolt.

If your lock brand is not listed, slide each adapter onto the tailpiece of your deadbolt to find the one that fits correctly. The correct adapter will have the small nub pointing up. Adapters can sometimes be placed backwards; if the shape seems correct but the orientation is off, try flipping the adapter.

Using the August App:

The August app is your primary interface for controlling the smart lock. From the app, you can:

• Bloquear/Desbloquear: Manually lock or unlock your door from anywhere using your smartphone.
• Bloqueo automático: Set your door to automatically lock after a specified period once it closes.
• Desbloqueo automático: The lock can automatically unlock as you approach your door, detecting your presence via your phone's GPS and Bluetooth.

• Fuente de actividad: View a detailed history of who entered and exited, and when.

Control de voz:

The August Smart Lock Pro works with popular voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant. Once integrated, you can use voice commands to lock or check the status of your door. For unlocking via voice, a PIN is typically required for security.

You can still manually lock or unlock the door from the inside by turning the August Smart Lock's thumbturn. From the outside, your original key will continue to function.
