The August Smart Lock Pro is designed for simple, DIY installation, typically taking about 10 minutes with a screwdriver. It attaches to your existing single-cylinder deadbolt on the inside of your door, allowing you to retain your original keys for external use.

Reemplazo de batería

The August Smart Lock Pro operates on four AA alkaline batteries (included). The August app will notify you when the battery level is low, allowing you to replace them proactively. To replace batteries:

1. Remove the magnetic cover from the front of the August Smart Lock Pro.
2. Carefully remove the old AA batteries.
