Controles del panel frontal:

• OVERDRIVE Section:
  • NIVEL: Adjusts the output volume of the overdrive effect.

5. Configuración

Follow these steps to connect your Fender Downtown Express pedal:

• UMBRAL: Set this knob to determine the point at which the compressor starts working. Lower settings mean more of your signal will be compressed.
• The O.R. LED illuminates when the compressor is actively reducing the signal, indicating that the input level has exceeded the threshold.

6.2. Ecualizador (EQ)

The 3-band EQ allows you to sculpt your bass tone. Engage the EQ using its dedicated footswitch.

• BAJO: Adjust to enhance or reduce low-end frequencies.
• MEDIO: Adjust to control the presence and punch of your bass in the mix.
• TRIPLICAR: Adjust to add clarity or reduce harshness in the high frequencies.

6.3. Sobremarcha

The overdrive circuit adds harmonic richness and grit to your bass tone. Engage the overdrive using its dedicated footswitch.

• NIVEL: Controls the output volume of the overdrive effect.
• TONO: Shapes the brightness or darkness of the overdriven sound.
• MANEJAR: Increases the amount of distortion.
• MEZCLA: Mixes your clean bass signal with the overdriven signal. This is crucial for retaining low-end clarity while adding drive.

6.4. Signal Path Reordering

The OD > COMP / COMP > OD switch allows you to change the order of the Overdrive and Compressor effects. This significantly impacts the resulting tone:

• OD > COMP: Overdrive feeds into the Compressor. This can result in a more sustained, compressed overdrive sound.
• COMP > OD: Compressor feeds into the Overdrive. This can provide a more dynamic overdrive, as the compressor evens out the signal before it hits the overdrive circuit.

6.5. Función de silencio

Press the MUTE footswitch to silence the main output of the pedal. This is useful for silent tuning between songs or during breaks. The TUNER OUTPUT remains active when muted.
