5. Configuración e instalación

5.1 Choosing the Right Location

Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the room to be cooled. Ensure there is at least 20 inches of space around the unit for proper air circulation. Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

5.2 Instalación del kit de ventana

1. Assemble the window slider kit to fit your window opening. The kit is adjustable for both horizontal and vertical windows.
2. Attach the exhaust hose adapter to one end of the exhaust hose and the window kit adapter to the other end.
3. Insert the window kit adapter into the opening of the assembled window slider kit.
4. Connect the exhaust hose to the exhaust port on the back of the portable AC unit. Ensure a secure fit to prevent air leakage.
5. Close the window securely against the window kit to seal the opening.

5.3 Determining Cooling Capacity

Use the following chart to determine the appropriate cooling capacity (BTU) for your room size. Adjustments may be necessary based on specific room conditions.

6. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

Your Chigo portable AC can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

6.1 Panel de control y control remoto sobreview

The control panel on top of the unit features touch buttons for power, mode selection, fan speed, timer, and temperature adjustment. The remote control provides full functionality, including the unique MyTemp sensor.

• Modo frío: Press the MODE button until the snowflake icon appears. Use the temperature adjustment buttons to set your desired temperature. The unit will cool the room to this setting.
• Modo de ventilador: Press the MODE button until the fan icon appears. The unit will circulate air without cooling. Use the FAN HIGH, FAN MED, or FAN LOW buttons to select fan speed.
• Modo seco (deshumidificador): Press the MODE button until the water drop icon appears. The unit will remove moisture from the air. Continuous drainage is recommended for this mode.
• Modo automático: Press the MODE button until the 'A' icon appears. The unit will automatically select the operating mode (Cool or Fan) and fan speed based on the ambient room temperature.

• MyTemp Mode: Activate this feature using the MY TEMP MODE button on the remote control. The remote control will then act as a thermostat, sensing the temperature at its location and directing the AC to cool to that specific point. Keep the remote control near you for optimal comfort.
• Turbo fresco: Press the TURBO button on the remote control. The unit will operate at its highest fan speed and lowest temperature setting for 10 minutes to quickly cool the room.

• Modo de sueño: Press the SLEEP button. In Cool mode, the set temperature will gradually increase by 1°F after 30 minutes, and another 1°F after another 30 minutes, then maintain this temperature for 7 hours before returning to the original setting. This mode provides comfortable sleeping conditions and saves energy.

The unit has an internal water collection tank. When the tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (e.g., 'FL').
