3. Configuración

3.1 Instalación de la batería

El termómetro funciona con dos pilas AAA (incluidas). Para instalarlo:

1. Localice la tapa del compartimiento de la batería en la parte inferior del mango.
2. Deslice la tapa para abrirla.
3. Inserte dos pilas AAA, asegurándose de la polaridad correcta (+ y -).

4.1 Encendido y apagado

To power on the thermometer, pull the trigger. The device will automatically shut down after 18 seconds of inactivity to conserve power.

4.2 Measurement Modes (Body/Surface)

The thermometer offers two measurement modes: Body Mode and Surface Mode. These modes can be toggled using the "MODE" button.

4.3 Cómo tomar la temperatura

1. Ensure the forehead is clean and clear of hair, perspiration, caps, or scarves for accurate readings.
2. Select the desired measurement mode (Body or Surface) using the "MODE" button.
3. Point the thermometer at the forehead or object surface, maintaining a distance of 0.4 to 2 inches (1-5 cm).
4. Pull the trigger once. The temperature reading will appear on the LCD screen within 1 second.

4.4 LCD Display and Fever Alarm

The large LCD display features a backlight that changes color based on the measured temperature in Body Mode:

• Verde: Normal temperature (95.9-99.1°F / 35.5-37.3°C).
• Amarillo: Slight fever (99.3-100.4°F / 37.4-38.0°C).
• Rojo: High fever (100.6-109.4°F / 38.1-43.0°C).

An abnormal temperature reading will also be accompanied by a warning sound (fever alarm).

4.5 Cambio entre grados Fahrenheit y Celsius

Para cambiar entre Fahrenheit (°F) y Celsius (°C):

1. Press and hold the "SET" button for approximately 3 seconds.
2. "F1" will be displayed, and the °C / °F icon will flash.
3. While the icon is flashing, press the "MEMO" or "MODE" button to toggle between °C and °F.
4. Press "SET" again to confirm your selection and exit the setting.

The thermometer can store up to 50 previous measurement data sets. This allows for continuous tracking of temperature trends. When the memory is full, the oldest measurement will be replaced by the newest one.
