1. Introducción

This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Pro-Ject E1 turntable. Please read these instructions carefully before using your device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

4. Configuración

4.1 Desembalaje y colocación

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the turntable on a firm, level surface, away from direct heat sources or strong vibrations. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

4.2 Asamblea

While the Pro-Ject E1 is designed for 'Plug & Play' convenience, some minor assembly is required. The tracking force and anti-skating are pre-adjusted at the factory. Follow these steps:

4.3 Conexión a un sistema de audio

Connect the supplied RCA cable from the turntable's output to the appropriate input on your amplificador o receptor. Si tu amplifier does not have a dedicated 'Phono' input, you will need an external phono preampmás duradero.

Connect the universal power supply to the turntable's power input and then plug it into a suitable wall outlet.

5. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

5.1 Encendido / Apagado

The turntable is powered on when connected to the mains. There is no separate power switch. The motor starts when you select a speed.

The Pro-Ject E1 features an electronic speed switch. Use the switch located on the plinth to select between 33 RPM and 45 RPM, depending on the record you are playing.

5.3 Reproducción de un disco

  2. Select the correct playback speed (33 or 45 RPM) using the electronic speed switch.

5.4 Detener la reproducción

  1. Levante el brazo fonocaptor utilizando la palanca de señalización.

  4. Close the dust cover to protect the turntable.

5.5 Dust Cover Usage

The acrylic dust cover protects your turntable from dust and debris. It can be opened and closed using the adjustable hinges. For optimal sound quality, it is recommended to play records with the dust cover open or removed.

6. Mantenimiento

6.1 Limpieza del plato giratorio

Regularly clean the turntable with a soft, dry, anti-static cloth. Avoid using cleaning sprays or solvents, as they may damage the finish. For the dust cover, use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild acrylic cleaner if necessary.

6.2 Cuidado del lápiz

The stylus is a delicate component. Use a soft stylus brush to gently clean the stylus tip from back to front. Never use your fingers or harsh chemicals. A dirty or worn stylus can damage your records and degrade sound quality. Replace the stylus when it shows signs of wear.

7. Solución de problemas

If you encounter issues with your Pro-Ject E1 turntable, consult the following common problems and solutions:

  • Sin energía: Ensure the power supply is securely connected to both the turntable and the wall outlet.
