It is NOT compatible with other ATOTO products such as S8 series, F7 series, A6PF series, SA102 series, or other brands.

2. Configuración e instalación

Follow these steps for proper installation of your ATOTO AC-RCR01W backup camera.

  6. Connect to Reverse Light (Optional but Recommended): For automatic activation of reversing guidelines, connect the camera's trigger wire (usually red) to your vehicle's reverse light power supply. This allows the camera to activate automatically when the vehicle is put into reverse.
  7. Insert MicroSD Card (for recording): If you intend to use the recording features, insert a MicroSD card (up to 128GB recommended, not included) into the designated slot on your P8 series head unit.

This section details the operational aspects of your AC-RCR01W backup camera.

3.1 Automatic Activation and Display

  • When connected to the reverse light, the camera display will automatically appear on your ATOTO P8 series head unit screen when you shift into reverse gear.
  • The display provides a clear HD 1080P view with a 150° wide angle, allowing you to see obstacles and surroundings behind your vehicle.

3.2 Reversing Guidelines

  • The P8 series head unit will display dynamic or static reversing guidelines on the screen.
  • These guidelines assist in judging distance and trajectory for parking maneuvers.
  • You can adjust or disable these guidelines through the settings menu on your ATOTO P8 series head unit.

3.3 Parking Monitor (Requires AC-P8AC12, Sold Separately)

  • When the AC-P8AC12 power supply is used, the parking monitor function provides 24/7 surveillance.
  • If a sudden collision or bump is detected while the vehicle is parked, the P8 unit will activate and the AC-RCR01W camera will record 20 seconds of critical video footage.
  • This footage is protected from being overwritten, serving as potential evidence.
  • In standby mode, the system consumes less than 10mA, minimizing battery drain.

3.4 Sensor G y grabación en bucle

  • The built-in G-Sensor automatically detects unusual changes in gravity, such as collisions. When detected, the video footage will be automatically saved as backup information and protected from being overwritten.
  • The camera supports automatic loop recording. When the storage card is full, the oldest unprotected files will be overwritten by new recordings. The loop recording time is adjustable via the P8 series settings.

3.5 Strong Light Suppression (WDR)

  • The camera features Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology for strong light suppression.
  • This technology helps to prevent dazzling effects from bright headlights or strong sunlight, ensuring a clearer video feed both day and night.

4. Mantenimiento

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your backup camera.

  • Gestión de tarjetas MicroSD: If using a MicroSD card for recording, format it periodically (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage antes de formatear.

5. Solución de problemas

If you encounter issues with your AC-RCR01W backup camera, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
