3. Configuración y cableado
3.1 Inspección inicial
Before installation, inspect the VFD for any physical damage. Ensure all components are present as listed in the package contents.
3.2 Motor Voltage Configuración
Ensure your motor's voltage is correctly configured. For motors that support both 220V and 440V, set it to the low voltage (220V) configuration. This typically involves connecting the X-Y-Z terminals together and the U-V-W terminals together, as indicated on your motor's nameplate.
3.3 Power and Motor Connections
Refer to the wiring diagrams below for proper connection. Always ensure power is disconnected before making any wiring changes.

Figure 3: Basic Wiring for 220VAC Input to a Three-Phase Motor
- Input Power (220V Single Phase): Connect the two live wires of your 220V AC power supply to the 'R' and 'S' terminals on the VFD.
- Conexión a tierra: Connect the ground wire to the 'E' terminal (green wire in diagrams).
- Salida del motor: Connect the three-phase motor wires to the 'U', 'V', and 'W' terminals. The order of these connections determines the motor's rotation direction. If the motor rotates in the wrong direction, you can swap any two of these three wires to reverse the rotation.

The following parameters are crucial for initial setup. Consult the full manual for detailed parameter descriptions.
| Parámetro | Valor | Descripción |
|---|---|---|
| PD013 | 1 | Restores factory defaults. Recommended to start with this. |
| PD005 | 60 | Maximum operating frequency (Hz). |
| PD004 | 60 | Base frequency (Hz). |
| PD003 | 60 | Reference frequency (Hz). |
| PD008 | 220 | Vol de salida máximotagmi (V). |
| PD142 | 8.5 | Motor rated current (Amps). |
| PD141 | 220 | Vol nominal del motortage (voltios). |
| PD144 | 1720 | Motor rated RPM. |
| PD143 | 4 | Number of motor poles (calculated as 7200 / RPM). |
| PD014 | 3 | Acceleration time (seconds). |
| PD015 | 3 | Deceleration time (seconds). |
| PD001 | 1 | Enables external switch control for RUN/STOP. |
| PD044 | 02 | Terminal for Forward control (connect to DCM). |
| PD045 | 03 | Terminal for Reverse control (connect to DCM). |
3.6 External Control (Forward/Reverse Switch)
If PD001 is set to 1, the VFD will respond to external switch inputs for motor control. A simple rotary switch or toggle switch can be used to connect the DCM terminal to the designated forward (PD044) or reverse (PD045) control terminals.

The VFD is equipped with a DC cooling fan and an aluminum base for efficient heat dissipation. Ensure the fan vents are clear of obstructions to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating.

Figure 8: DC Cooling Fan and Aluminum Base
- Regularly clean dust and debris from the fan and heat sink fins.
- Ensure the VFD is installed in an environment with adequate ventilation.
5.2 Cuidados generales
- Keep the VFD clean and dry. Avoid exposure to moisture, corrosive gases, or excessive dust.
- Revise periódicamente todas las conexiones del cableado para comprobar que estén bien ajustadas y que no presenten signos de desgaste o daños.
- The control board is removable for maintenance or replacement.

6. Solución de problemas
6.1 Problemas comunes
- VFD Trips Out During Deceleration: If the VFD trips during rapid deceleration, the deceleration time (PD015) may be too short for the motor's inertia. Increase the value of PD015. For very fast deceleration requirements, an external braking resistor may be necessary. Refer to the VFD's comprehensive manual for resistor sizing and connection instructions.
- Rotación incorrecta del motor: If the motor spins in the wrong direction after initial setup, swap any two of the three output wires (U, V, W) connected to the motor.
- VFD Not Responding to RUN Button: If you have configured external control (PD001=1), the 'RUN' button on the VFD's panel will be disabled. Ensure your external switch is correctly wired and activated.
7. Garantía y soporte
The Huanyang GT Series VFD Inverter comes with a 3-year limited warranty. For technical support or warranty claims, please contact your seller or the manufacturer directly.
8. Consejos para el usuario
- Motor Nameplate Data: Always refer to your motor's nameplate for accurate voltage, amperage, and RPM values when programming the VFD.
- Control externo: Utilizing an external rotary or toggle switch for forward/reverse control can enhance safety and convenience, especially in workshop environments.
- Aceleración/desaceleración: Adjusting the acceleration (PD014) and deceleration (PD015) times is crucial for smooth motor operation and to prevent VFD trips. Start with longer times and gradually decrease them if faster response is needed.
- Enfriamiento: Ensure adequate ventilation around the VFD to prevent overheating, which can prolong the life of the unit.
