2. About the Author and Translator
Anders De La Motte, born in 1971, is a former police officer who now works as a security consultant for an IT company. He lives near Malmö with his family. Following his successful trilogy—Le Jeu (2013), also known as Play, manipuler ou être manipulé (awarded the first novel prize by the Swedish Academy of Crime Writers), Buzz, virtuel ou réel (2014), y Bubble, proie ou prédateur (2014)—he returns with the diptych composed of Defaillance (2015), whose television rights were acquired by Lionsgate (known for Mad Men, Malas hierbas, y Orange is the New Black), y Ultimatum (2016), voted best Swedish novel of 2015. All his books have been published by Fleuve Éditions.
The French edition of Defaillance was translated by Carine Bruy.
