4. Configuración y funcionamiento inicial
4.1 Instalación de la batería
- Localice la tapa del compartimiento de la batería en la parte posterior del medidor.
- Abra la tapa deslizándola o desenroscándola.
- Insert six (6) AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimiento de la batería de forma segura.
4.2 Conexión del sensor
The remote light sensor is typically pre-connected. Ensure the coiled cable is securely plugged into the designated port on the main meter unit. Remove the protective cover from the sensor head before taking measurements.
4.3 Encendido / Apagado
- Para encender el medidor, presione el botón FUERZA botón.
- Para apagar el medidor, mantenga presionado el botón FUERZA hasta que la pantalla se apague.
- The meter features an Auto Power Off function to conserve battery life. This can be disabled if continuous operation is required (refer to advanced settings in the full manual).
5. Operación
5.1 Realización de una medición
- Encienda el medidor.
- Position the light sensor at the location where illuminance needs to be measured. Ensure the sensor's dome is facing the light source.
- Select the desired measurement unit (Lux or Foot-Candles) using the lux/fc botón.
- The meter will display the current illuminance reading on the LCD.

5.2 Selección de rango
The EA33 features five measurement ranges. The meter does not auto-range. Use the RANGE UP y RANGE DOWN buttons (typically arrow keys) to manually select the appropriate range for your measurement. If the display shows "OL" (Overload), select a higher range. If the reading is very low, select a lower range for better resolution.
5.3 Data Logging and Memory
The meter can store up to 50 readings.
- To store a reading: Press the MIEMBRO button. The display will indicate the memory location.
- To recall stored readings: Press the LEER button. Use the arrow keys to navigate through stored data.
- Stored readings can include a real-time clock stamp if configured.
5.4 funciones avanzadas
- Luminous Intensity (Candela) Calculation: Utilice el cd/COMP button to switch to candela calculation mode.
- Ripple Function: This function helps exclude stray light from the primary light source measurement. Refer to the full manual for activation.
- Multi-point Average Function: Allows for averaging multiple measurements.
- Timed Hold: Freezes the display for a set duration.
- Medición relativa: Utilice el Δ/% button to measure relative to a reference point, either in absolute value or percentagy desviación.
- Función del comparador: Set high/low alarms for specific light levels.
6. Mantenimiento
6.1 Limpieza
Wipe the meter and sensor with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Keep the sensor dome clean and free of dust or debris to ensure accurate readings.
6.2 Reemplazo de batería
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace all six AAA batteries as described in the "Battery Installation" section. Remove batteries if the meter is to be stored for an extended period to prevent leakage.
6.3 Almacenamiento
Store the meter in its protective holster and carrying case in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the protective cover is placed over the sensor head.
7. Solución de problemas
| Problema | Posible causa | Solución |
|---|---|---|
| El medidor no se enciende. | Baterías muertas o instaladas incorrectamente. | Reemplace las baterías, asegurándose de la polaridad correcta. |
| "OL" se muestra en la pantalla. | Measurement exceeds current range. | Select a higher measurement range using the range buttons. |
