3. Preparación

Proper preparation is crucial for a strong, leak-free joint. Follow these steps before applying the primer:

3. Aplicar cemento solvente: While the primer is still wet (do not allow primer to dry), immediately apply the appropriate PVC or CPVC solvent cement to both the primed pipe end and the primed inside of the fitting socket. Follow the solvent cement manufacturer's instructions for application.
4. Assemble Joint: Quickly insert the pipe into the fitting socket, twisting a quarter turn until the pipe bottoms out. Hold the joint together firmly for at least 30 seconds to ensure initial set and prevent the pipe from backing out.
