1. Configuración
1.1 Desempaquetado y colocación inicial
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. The box should contain the Roomba 614 Robot Vacuum, Home Base Charging Station, Line Cord, Instruction Guide, and Manufacturer's Warranty information. Place the Home Base against a wall in an open, uncluttered area, ensuring at least 1.5 feet (0.5 meters) of clear space on either side and 4 feet (1.2 meters) in front. Plug the Line Cord into the Home Base and then into a wall outlet.
1.2 Charging the Roomba
Place your Roomba onto the Home Base, ensuring the metal charging contacts on the robot align with those on the Home Base. The battery indicator light will pulse amber during charging. Allow the Roomba to charge for a minimum of 3 hours before its first use. A solid green light indicates a full charge.

2. Operación
2.1 Inicio de un ciclo de limpieza
To start a cleaning cycle, simply press the large 'CLEAN' button located on the top of your Roomba. The robot will begin cleaning your floors automatically. It uses a patented 3-Stage Cleaning System designed to loosen, lift, and suction dirt, dust, and hair from various surfaces.
2.2 Intelligent Navigation and Cleaning Features
The Roomba 614 is equipped with a full suite of sensors that intelligently navigate the robot around your home. It can move under and around objects and furniture to thoroughly clean your floors. Key features include:
- Cepillos multisuperficie duales: These brushes work in tandem to grab dirt, dust, and large debris from both carpets and hard floors. The cleaning head automatically adjusts its height to maintain effective contact with different floor types.
- Patented Dirt Detect Sensors: These sensors identify concentrated areas of dirt, prompting the Roomba to clean more thoroughly in high-traffic zones.
- Cepillo de barrido de bordes: Designed at a 27-degree angle, this brush sweeps debris away from edges and corners, directing it into the robot's cleaning path.
- Sensores de detección de acantilados: These sensors prevent the Roomba from falling down stairs or other drop-offs.

2.3 Regreso a la base de operaciones
When the cleaning cycle is complete or the battery is low, the Roomba will automatically return to its Home Base to recharge. You can also manually send the Roomba back to its Home Base by pressing the 'DOCK' button on the robot.
3. Mantenimiento
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance of your Roomba 614. Follow these steps to keep your robot in top condition.
3.1 Vaciado del depósito de polvo
The dust bin should be emptied after each cleaning cycle. Press the bin release tab and pull the bin straight out. Open the bin door and shake out debris into a trash receptacle. The bin has a capacity of 6 liters.
3.2 Limpieza del filtro
The filter (disk type) should be cleaned weekly, or more often if you have pets. Remove the filter from the dust bin and tap it against a trash can to dislodge debris. Do not wash the filter with water.
3.3 Limpieza de los cepillos y las ruedas
The Dual Multi-Surface Brushes and the Edge-Sweeping Brush should be cleaned regularly to remove hair and debris. Refer to the detailed instruction guide for specific steps on how to remove and clean these components. Also, check the front caster wheel and drive wheels for any trapped hair or debris.

3.4 Limpieza de los sensores
Wipe the Cliff Detect sensors and charging contacts on the robot and Home Base with a clean, dry cloth. This ensures proper navigation and charging.
4. Solución de problemas
If your Roomba encounters an issue, it may indicate an error with a series of beeps or a flashing indicator light. Common issues and basic solutions are listed below. For a comprehensive guide, please refer to the full instruction manual.
- Roomba not starting or charging: Ensure the Home Base is plugged in and the Roomba is properly docked. Check charging contacts for debris.
- Roomba se queda atascado: Clear obstacles from the cleaning area. Ensure cords and loose rugs are secured.
- Rendimiento de limpieza deficiente: Vacíe el depósito de polvo, limpie el filtro y elimine cualquier pelo o residuo de los cepillos y las ruedas.
- Mensajes de error: Consult the instruction manual for specific error codes and their corresponding solutions. Often, restarting the robot can resolve minor glitches.
