Configuración
Instalación/reemplazo de la batería
The Fluke 115 typically comes with a 9V battery pre-installed. If the battery needs replacement or installation:
- Turn the multimeter OFF and disconnect all test leads from the device and any circuits.
- Replace the old 9V battery with a new one, ensuring correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Reinstall the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
Conexión de cables de prueba
Always connect the common (black) test lead to the COM jack first. Then, connect the red test lead to the appropriate function jack (VΩHzCAP or A) for your intended measurement. When disconnecting, remove the red test lead first, then the black test lead.
Instrucciones de funcionamiento
Medición del volumen de CA/CCtage (V~ / V-)
- Gire el interruptor giratorio a V~ (Volumen CA)tage) o V- (Volumen CCtage) posición.
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩHzCAP jack.
Measuring Resistance (Ω) and Continuity
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩHzCAP jack.
- Read the resistance value. For continuity, the multimeter will emit an audible beep if the resistance is below a certain threshold.
Measuring Current (A~ / A-)
- Turn the rotary switch to the A~ (AC Current) or A- (DC Current) position.
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the A jack.
- ADVERTENCIA: To avoid personal injury or damage to the multimeter, do not attempt to measure current in a circuit where the potential to ground exceeds 600V. Always connect the multimeter in series with the load.
Measuring Frequency (Hz) and Capacitance (CAP)
To measure frequency or capacitance, turn the rotary switch to the respective Hz or CAP position. The connection method is similar to voltage and resistance measurements, respectively, using the VΩHzCAP and COM jacks. Ensure capacitors are discharged before measuring capacitance.
Prueba de diodo
The diode test function allows for checking the forward voltage drop of a diode. Turn the rotary switch to the diode symbol. Connect the red lead to the anode and the black lead to the cathode of the diode. The display will show the forward voltage drop in volts.
Mantenimiento
Limpieza
Wipe the case of the multimeter with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the plastic. If necessary, clean the input jacks with cotton swabs lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
Reemplazo de batería
Refer to the "Battery Installation/Replacement" section under Setup for detailed instructions on replacing the 9V battery.
Almacenamiento
When not in use, store the multimeter and its accessories in the provided carrying case in a dry, dust-free environment. If storing the multimeter for extended periods (e.g., more than one month), it is recommended to remove the battery to prevent potential leakage and damage to the device.
Solución de problemas
| Problema | Posible causa | Solución |
|---|---|---|
| Lecturas incorrectas | Incorrect function/range selected; Damaged test leads; Dirty input jacks | Verify the correct function and range are selected. Inspect and replace damaged test leads. Clean input jacks if necessary. |
| Multimeter does not respond during current measurement | Internal fuse blown (for current measurements) | The current input is protected by a fuse. If the fuse is blown, the multimeter will not measure current. Consult a qualified service technician for fuse replacement. Do not attempt to replace the fuse yourself unless you are qualified. |
