3. Configuración y conexión

The LINOVISION EOC Converter is designed for plug-and-play installation, requiring no complex configuration. Follow these steps for a successful setup:

3.1. Componente terminadoview

Each EOC Converter unit (Receiver and Transmitter) features:

  • PoE IN/OUT Port (RJ45): For Ethernet cable connection. The Receiver has a PoE IN port (connects to PoE switch/NVR), and the Transmitter has a PoE OUT port (connects to PoE device like an IP camera).
  • Puerto BNC: For coaxial cable connection, enabling long-range data and power transmission.
  • LED Indicators (Link, PWR, Long Reach): Provide status feedback on power, link activity, and long-range mode.

3.2. Standard Connection Diagram (PoE over Coax)

  1. Conectar el ENTRADA PoE puerto del EOC Receiver to a PoE switch or PoE NVR using a standard Ethernet cable (Cat5e/Cat6).

3.3. Upgrading Analog to IP Surveillance System

This converter is ideal for upgrading traditional analog camera systems to IP surveillance without replacing existing coaxial cables. The EOC Transmitter sends power and data over the coax to the EOC Receiver, which then connects to your PoE NVR.

3.4. PoE over Twisted Pair Connection

Each EOC Converter pair includes 2 BNC to Twist Pair connectors, enabling PoE over twisted pair transmission. This is suitable for applications like CCTV systems in elevator carts.

  • Data Transmission for Non-PoE Devices: The converters can transmit data for non-PoE devices like computers over coaxial cable.
  • PoE+ Network Transmission for VoIP Phones: Facilitates connecting VoIP phones using existing coaxial infrastructure.
  • PoE+ Network Transmission for Non-PoE DC12V Devices: Can power DC12V devices when combined with a PoE splitter.
  • Long Reach PoE over Regular Networking Cable: Extends PoE reach up to 3,300ft over standard networking cables.

4. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

Once connected, the LINOVISION EOC Converters operate automatically. The LED indicators provide visual feedback on the device status:

6. Mantenimiento

The LINOVISION EOC Converter is designed for industrial use with a built-in heat sink, ensuring reliability. It requires minimal maintenance:

  • Ensure the devices are installed indoors.

7. Solución de problemas

  • No Power/Link: Check all Ethernet and coaxial cable connections. Ensure the PoE switch/NVR is providing power to the EOC Receiver. Verify the power source is active.
  • Conexión intermitente: Inspect coaxial cable quality and connections. Ensure BNC connectors are properly terminated. Long cable runs may experience reduced bandwidth; refer to performance specifications.
  • Multiple Units in One System: For multiple PoE over coax applications, it is highly recommended to use an EOC-Switch KIT (ASIN: B0BMG63JZ6) to avoid potential signal interference and ensure stable operation.
  • No Video from IP Camera: Confirm the IP camera is powered on and functioning independently. Check network settings and IP address configuration of the camera and NVR.
