4. Configuración

2. Limpieza inicial: Wash the water tank, milk tank, portafilters, and filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp paño.
3. Posicionamiento: Place the espresso maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.

   • Once the lights are solid, press the Espresso button. Allow water to flow through until the tank is nearly empty. This primes the pump and cleans the internal system.
   • Repeat this process for the milk frothing system: fill the milk tank with water, attach it, place a cup under the frothing nozzle, and press the Latte or Cappuccino button to run water through.

Preparando Espresso

2. Select the appropriate filter (single or double shot) and place it into the ground coffee portafilter.
3. Add desired amount of finely ground espresso coffee to the filter. Use the measuring spoon and tamper to level and lightly tamp el café.

5. Place your espresso cup(s) on the adjustable drip tray. The tray can be adjusted for different cup sizes.

6. Presione el Café exprés button on the control panel. The machine will automatically brew and dispense the espresso.

Preparing Cappuccino or Latte

1. Follow steps 1-5 for preparing espresso.
2. Fill the removable milk tank with fresh, cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to the MAX line.
3. Attach the milk tank to the machine. Ensure the frothing nozzle is positioned over your cup.
4. Adjust the milk foam control dial to your desired foam level.

5. Presione el Capuchino or Café con leche button. The machine will automatically brew the espresso and then froth and dispense the milk into your cup.
6. After use, remove the milk tank and store any remaining milk in the refrigerator. Clean the milk frothing system immediately.

Using Dolce Gusto Capsules

3. Attach the capsule portafilter to the brewing head.
4. Place your cup on the adjustable drip tray.
5. Press the desired beverage button (Espresso, Cappuccino, or Latte). The machine will automatically adjust for capsule brewing.
6. After brewing, carefully remove and discard the used capsule.

6. Mantenimiento y limpieza

• Portafiltros y filtros: After each use, remove the portafilter and discard coffee grounds. Rinse the portafilter and filter under running water. Use a brush to remove any residue.
• Tanque de leche y boquilla para espumar: Immediately after preparing milk-based drinks, remove the milk tank. Disassemble the frothing nozzle components and wash all parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Run a quick cleaning cycle by pressing the 'Clean' button (if available) or by running hot water through the frothing system without milk.

Descalcificación

1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions, or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).

4. Run several brewing cycles (Espresso button) until half of the solution has passed through.
