1. Introducción

The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) is a versatile video doorbell designed to enhance your home security and provide convenient monitoring of your front door. This device operates on battery power, offering flexible installation without the need for existing doorbell wiring, though it can also be wired. It features built-in intelligence to differentiate between people, packages, animals, and vehicles, sending specific alerts directly to your Google Home app. With live HD video, HDR, and night vision capabilities, you can monitor your property 24/7 from any location with an internet connection.

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your Nest Doorbell to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

Upon opening your Google Nest Doorbell package, verify that all the following components are included:

3. Configuración

3.1 Carga inicial

Before installation, it is recommended to fully charge your Nest Doorbell using the included charge cable. Connect the charge cable to the doorbell and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The LED indicator on the doorbell will show charging status.

3.2 Google Home App Installation

The Nest Doorbell requires the Google Home app for setup and operation. Download the Google Home app from your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS). A free Google account is also required.

The Nest Doorbell can be installed wire-free using its built-in battery or connected to existing doorbell wires. Choose a mounting location that provides a clear view of your entryway and is within Wi-Fi range.

1. Attach the base plate to your desired mounting surface using the provided wall anchors and screws.
2. If opting for wired installation, connect your existing doorbell wires to the included wire connector and then to the doorbell terminals.
3. Securely attach the Nest Doorbell to the installed base plate.

3.4 In-App Setup

Follow the on-screen instructions within the Google Home app to connect your Nest Doorbell to your home Wi-Fi network and complete the setup process. This includes naming your doorbell, configuring notification preferences, and setting up activity zones.

Access live HD video of your doorstep at any time through the Google Home app. The doorbell provides a tall vertical field of view, allowing you to see people head-to-toe and packages on the ground. The Nest Doorbell stores up to 3 hours of free event video history. For extended video history (up to 60 days) and additional features like familiar face detection, a Nest Aware subscription (sold separately) is required.

4.2 Intelligent Alerts

The doorbell's built-in intelligence can distinguish between different types of activity and send specific alerts to your Google Home app:

Communicate with visitors at your door from anywhere using the two-way talk feature in the Google Home app. You can also use pre-recorded messages to respond quickly when you're unable to speak directly.

4.4 Smart Display and Speaker Integration

Stream live video and interact with visitors hands-free on compatible Google Nest and Amazon smart displays. You can also use compatible Google Nest and Amazon smart speakers and displays as a chime for your doorbell.

5. Mantenimiento

5.1 Carga de la batería

The Nest Doorbell (Battery) is powered by a 6600 mAh rechargeable battery. Battery life varies based on usage, temperature, and settings. When the battery level is low, you will receive notifications via the Google Home app. To recharge, detach the doorbell from its base plate and connect the included charge cable to the charging port. A full charge can take several hours.

5.2 Limpieza

To maintain optimal performance and appearance, periodically clean your Nest Doorbell. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or spraying water directly onto the device.

• No Live Video/Offline: Ensure your home Wi-Fi network is active and the doorbell is within range. Restart your Wi-Fi router if necessary.
